Sametime Developers Toolkit 2.5 Windows NT/2000

Hi,

I am playing around a bit with the Sametime C++ Toolkit 2.0 on a Sametime 2.5 server. I have no problems running the samples, everything works fine. What I would like to do, is take the "Login"-sample and add the corresponding functionality to a domino server task. That means, create a server tasks that logs in to a Sametime server with given (fixed) login information. Since I don't manage to do so, I have two questions. It would be nice if anyone could at least answer the first question to keep me from potentially wasting more time then it was already the case:

1. Can I use the C++ Toolkit in Console applications in general? Is it possible to include it in a domino server task?

2. When the answer to (1.) is yes, then what am I doing wrong? I suppose it has something to do with the different threads/processes that won't work together?! Me code looks like this (I can post it completely, when anybody needs it):

//Just a an overview
main()
{
get notes session
get server addin
print some thing to the console

create instance of my sametime connection class
- create sametime session
- add community component
- add a login listener to the community
- loginByPassword

go to agent endless loop - while()...

-terminate session etc.
}

Although I call the loginByPassword method, the loggedIn - event is not triggered respectively the code (that would just print something to the server console) is not executed. I also check for a successfull login in a connect client with a different ID and nothing happens.

Just to say that already: The code IS working when I "paste" it into an MFC window application. The login information is also correct. In addition I also print something in the loggedOut - event, which is, as far as I understand, triggered, when my login would fail for some reason.

Any comments on that topic are highly appreciated, since I am really somehow "out of ideas"...

Dirk
